KUNMING, March 30 (Xinhua) -- More than 50 kg of methamphetamine has been seized in southwest China's Yunnan Province, local police said Friday.
Two suspects were detained, and two motorcycles and 14 bags containing a total of 50.1 kg of meth were confiscated in Lancang County on Wednesday.
According to the police, the drug ring caught their attention after being discovered trafficking drugs from a neighboring country to be sold in China.
The case is under further investigation.
Yunnan is a major front in the battle against drug crime, as it borders the notorious Golden Triangle, known for its rampant narcotics production and trafficking.
