MOGADISHU, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Somali security forces on Thursday arrested al-Shabab militant, a key suspect behind the bombing of Sahafi hotel in Mogadishu on Nov. 9 that left at least 50 people dead, officials said.
The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) said that the militant will be arraigned in court once investigations are concluded.
"The security forces arrested one of the masterminds of the attack on Sahafi hotel on Nov.9, we will bring him to justice," NISA said, adding that its forces carried out a well coordinated security operation in Mogadishu.
Al-Shabab militants did not comment on the arrest of one of its fighters but instead said forces killed at least six Somalia National Army (SNA) soldiers in landmine blast outside Mogadishu earlier on Thursday.
