BEIJING, July 24 (Xinhua) -- The All-China Women's Federation said in a decision published Wednesday that it honors Zhou Quanquan, a deputy producer of a program under the China Media Group, as a national-level female role model.
The honor was awarded posthumously as Zhou, who had been working as a journalist for 23 years, died in an accident during a frontline interview mission in June.
The decision said Zhou had been committed to the promotion and protection of rights and interests of women and children.
In some cases, Zhou, irrespective of her own safety, conducted undercover interviews and shooting work and produced many excellent programs about women and children, it said.
The federation called on Chinese women nationwide to learn the hard-working and responsible spirit from Zhou.
