KANDAHAHR, Afghanistan, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- A roadside mine blast took the lives of two civilians in the southern Kandahar province, the provincial police spokesman Jamal Barikzai said Thursday.
Both the victims are men who were riding a motorcycle when the mine allegedly planted by militants on a road in Shah Walikot district struck the motorbike, killing both on the spot, the official added.
Taliban militants fighting government forces to regain power are yet to make comment on the incident.
